A Vision with Purpose: Understanding the Assignment: From the very beginning, our club has led with vision, courage, and clarity of purpose. We didn’t wait to see who the political winds favored, we moved on principle. We were the first club to endorse Zohran Mamdani, recognizing early on his unwavering commitment to housing justice, immigrant rights, and grassroots power. We were also the first club to endorse Michael Blake, long before others took notice of his leadership grounded in equity, economic justice, and lived experience. And when it came to electing our next mayor, we didn’t just choose a candidate, we chose a process rooted in values. We became the first club to implement ranked choice voting in our endorsement process because we believe New Yorkers deserve more than soundbites and status quo politics. Our city deserves a mayor who cares, a leader who listens, acts, and governs with and for the people.​
